Participants are requested to review the following Terms and Conditions before submitting entries
to participate in the NJAA Ziaraat Program. These terms and conditions apply to all participants:
1. Eligibility:
All New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut-based residents, irrespective of faith, 18 or older, who are US Citizens or Green Card holders, are eligible to participate. The program is managed by NJAA, a non-profit organization registered in the State of New Jersey. Passports must be valid for six months after the return travel date. NOTE: NJAA members, along with their immediate family members and parents, are NOT eligible for this program.
2. Entry Submission:
Entry submission can be made online via www.njaliakber.com/ZiaraatGiveaway Form. All eligible participants will be allowed one entry per draw. To enter, please fill out the Ziaraat Giveaway form and submit it.
3. Draw Schedule:
The drawing will be held on the day of Eid-Al-Fitr. The exact date will be posted on NJAA Social Media platforms and via email.
4. Winners:
One winner and two alternate winners will be randomly selected for each draw. The Winner shall receive an all-expense paid Ziaraat consisting of a Visa, round trip airfare from USA (Tri-State area Airports) to Iraq, Hotel, Meals, and Ground Transportation. The winner who accepts and completes the pilgrimage will not be eligible to enter the subsequent drawing.
5. +1 Winner Guest:
Must fulfill all eligibility requirements of the program, with the exception of a parent who will take their own child under the age of 18. In this case, the 18-year minimum age requirement will not apply. You must travel with the winner. Must be identified within 30 days of the drawing. +1 Winner Guest will also receive a full expense paid Iraq Ziaraat.
6. Non-Acceptance of Offers:
All winning awards must be used by the persons who have won the award. The certificate is non-transferable. Offer must be confirmed within 60 days of receiving the certificate. Should any winner or alternate winner decline to accept the offer or cancel the accepted offer, the unused offer will be granted to the secondary or tertiary lottery selection winner.
7. Ziaraat Certificate:
NJAA will provide the winner with a non-transferable certificate. The validity The period will be of 12 consecutive months from the date of certificate issuance (meaning Ziaraat must be completed within the 12-month period after receiving the certificate). The winner will have the option to select from multiple Ziaraats (Makhsoos or Offseason) selected by NJAA.
8. Tour Operators:
NJAA Ziaraat Program has preselected local tri-state Tour Operators who will receive direct payments for the land package from NJAA. Arrangements for air travel shall be the winner’s responsibility to coordinate with the Tour Operator. Once arrangements are finalized, NJAA shall purchase the airline fare on behalf of the winner.
9. Hotels:
It will be the responsibility of the winners to obtain information about the Hotels and meals that the tour operators will provide in Iraq. Male travelers shall share rooms with other male travelers, and all female travelers shall share rooms with other female travelers. Lodging under this program will only be provided in Iraq.
10. Changes:
NJAA Ziaraat Program administrators shall have the authority to amend, revise, change or update the NJAA Ziaraat Program terms and conditions, including reducing the number of Draws, the number of Awards, or changing the number of Winners for future Draws, or holding special Draws, or canceling any Draw after posting a two weeks notice.
11. Winner Cancellation / Changes:
Once the Ziaraat Certificate has been issued to a winner or alternate winner and travel arrangements have been confirmed and paid for, if the winner due to any personal reasons, is unable to travel, or requires a change in travel dates and/or does not wish to go for Ziaraat, he/she will immediately inform NJAA Ziaraat Program Operators. Due to any cancellation or change, the Group operators and/or travel agents may charge a cancellation penalty or change fee, which will be the Winner’s responsibility.
